Laura Jane Blake sits happily on the border of fine art and contemporary craft, creating through a studio manner that spans mark-making and video to technology and stitch. Observations of everyday movement, force and happenings are studied and abstracted turning the everyday into the fantastic. Manipulating and replicating materials to make sense of what she is drawn to in the world, she constantly seeks to show process as a final object.
